I'M NOT PRETENDING I KNOW EVERYTHING, IN FACT, I KNOW NEXT TO NOTHING, BUT THIS MIGHT SHINE A LITTLE LIGHT ON THE MATTER. OFCOURSE I WILL UPDATE ON THIS SUBJECT ON A REGULAR BASIS, AS SOON AS I FIND MORE ON THIS. READ AND WEEP, FOR THIS MAYBE THE END OF THE GREATEST ROCKBAND IN THE WORLD. A so-called official statement from Nick Oliveri regarding his departure from the Queens Of The Stone Age, taken from the mondogenerator.net website: What really happened is he (Josh) came by my house, I hadn't talked to him because he fired Mark without me knowing. After 2 years on the road, I thought my band kicked ass on this tour. I didn't quit the Queens. Ya know we should be so lucky to have fans, I would never puss out on my fans, if we have 'em let's do this. I don't get it. I'm not fighting Josh, he's someone I'd take a bullet for. Ya know I'm not going away, I'm going to try to talk him into playing music with me. I didn't quit. I just don't get it. Yeah, I get fucked up, I get real fucked up, but I show up to play. I just need to talk to Josh, but now I can't get in touch with him. Ya know I didn't get married to get divorced, and I didn't join this band to quit it. I'm not a quitter, I want to make another fuckin' record, I think Queens is a great fuckin' band. It's crazy the band of no rules now has fuckin' rules. What went on in my life since I've seen Brant and Nick Play at De Melkweg? Where do I start? Okay...I began to take driver-lessons last month, all is going well, with any luck I'll be having my liscense by the end of this year, so peeps in The Neths: you'd better watch out:) I got me a new guitar, a Strat (a Squier, ofcourse), so that wish was granted. Also, the day after yesterday I got a new kitten, his name is Hippy! He's 6 weeks old, and black. I bought my goldfish Elvis a new fishtank. As you can see, nothing exciting going on here, except that my household is turning into a zoo. Boredom can make you do crazy things, right? To be continued.... xx Seth

WHAT BOOKS DOES SETH READ? -I've read DBC Pierre's "Vernon God Little", a coming of age book, stated as being the 21th century's "Catcher In The Rye". DBC Pierre wins the prestigious Booker Prize for this novel on October 14th 2003.A well deserved prize, imo. - My all time favourite: J.D. Salinger's "Catcher In The Rye" - Ernest Hemingway - The Old Man And The Sea - Vladimir Nabokov - King, Queen, Knave - Hella S. Haase - Oeroeg (Dutch author) And heaps of other books!
